Why Fundraising

Studies say over 300 million craftspeople across geographies have often worked from their homes to create works of art. And this has been going on for generations. But today, in this wired era, they also need a safe space to step beyond and explore. This is where inclusive, supported, and sensitised craft centres come into play.

Through The Mango House, our endeavour is to provide our set of women artisans with a safe house -- a home away from home -- in Central Goa, where they can ideate and learn to improve and improvise their craft. With the help of other creators -- makers, businesses, academics, designers, thought leaders, and philanthropists.

A place, besides their own homes, where they can come (with their children) to work and learn from sessions at different times of the day.

A place that is either rented or sourced to run our certificate program as an early introduction to honing their craft and developing an independent path to earning their livelihood.

A place that will double time as a storage for their materials and unfinished work that they can not take back home every time they envision and work on something new.

Finally, a place that ensures work basics like design trainers, support staff, class rooms, materials, electricity, and other amenities are on the house. A place called The Mango House, which the trust is looking forward to building together with you. It's time to support this cause and watch Goan craftswomen bloom.
