Founder

The Mango House Trust is led by designer, entrepreneur, and academic Rupinder Kaur. Based on her journeys across various work functions, communication projects and living a conscious lifestyle, she envisioned this design-led organization to create sustainable social impact. A 20-year-old body of work and life in Goa for the last decade gently pushed her to discover marginalised communities of women artisans in the outstretched coastal parts of the state. Rupinder’s belief: Their resilience and craft, when combined with contemporary design collaboration with a team of entrepreneurs, professionals, communication specialists and academics, can work towards a symbiotic growth. This is her way to contribute to the local economy where she now thrives.

Over the period, through her boutique graphic design studio Daalcheeni, Rupinder has developed compelling identities, print and web communication in the developmental sector for Governmental and Non-Governmental establishments like United Nations, United Nations Development Programme, World Health Organisation, Niti Aayog, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the Ministry of Defence, National Film Development Corporation, Development Alternatives, Crea, Point of View, Ministry of Defence, and the National Crafts Museum to name a few. Few of her works include The Climate Climb, a publication designed for The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate on India’s climate initiatives. It was presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Pope Francis. And the India SDG Index report since 2018. Rupinder has also taught as Assistant Professor of Design for over seven years at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi.
